Preschools play an important role in shaping a child’s mind. They should provide a structured learning environment, and a child-centric curriculum. In this approach, the child is given the time and freedom to explore and learn, unlike in a teacher-centric curriculum.
APPROACH
We believe that a happy and confident child becomes a successful student. Hence, it is important that the preschool provides an environment in which the child feels safe and confident to learn by exploration and discovery. We at Amyga Academy, believe that each child is unique, and our curriculum is designed to support each child according to his/her ability and interests.
Our students are treated with politeness and respect, with the objective of grooming them to become self-disciplined and responsible adults. Our curriculum has a blend of individual and group learning activities which makes the child independent, while developing his/her socio-emotional skills.
We have partnered with Kreedo Early Childhood Solutions, a Bangalore based company which has been providing Montessori-based preschool solutions to over 1400 preschools, impacting 1,00,000 students over the past 7 to 8 years. They provide us with the material, the curriculum, learning objectives, teacher training, and a detailed assessment framework to track the progress of each child across various parameters.

Lakshmi Ramamurthy is the Founder and Managing Trustee of the Amyga Foundation charitable trust.
After an accomplished career in Finance and Learning & Development with multinational firms, Lakshmi is looking to foster quality education at an affordable cost in rural India.
She is a CA and CWA by qualification, and is an accomplished singer in Carnatic and Hindustani classical music.
Dharma is a seasoned software development executive with 30 years of experience in enterprise software development with multinationals.
Dharma has a BTech (CS) from IIT Madras and an MS (CS) from the Univ of Wisconsin-Madison. He loves to travel, and counts climbing an active volcano and rafting through an underwater river as notable achievements.
